The idea that our lives revolve around computers so much is depressing and a little soul destroying. Inanimate objects essentially controlling what should be the animate. The more we get into the internet social cycle, the less we actually are part of a healthy society. This is the personal level. Government, poorly run as is nearly always the case, controls us just the same…they push us down into inanimate objects, ostracized from each other with the apathetic burdens of crippling taxes, war and greed. This is the social level.
Taip apie savo aštuntąjį darbą kalba Ian Hawgood aka Koen Park. Du jo albumus jau esu aprašęs, tačiau ši persona su savo susikurtu skambesiu nenustoja manęs stebinti, taigi šį kartą – Acroplane netleible (taipogi dažnai minimas mano įrašuose) šiais metais balandžio mėnesį išleistas 17 kūrinių albumas – Computers Are Not Our Friends, skirtas nespjaunantiems į IDM, lo-fi electronica muziką.
Nesuklysiu jį pavadindamas šedevru, kurio norisi klausyti vėl ir vėl. Iki smulkmenų išdirbti ritmai, švelniai įsipaišantys į kūrinio melodiją kartu su nusempluotais akustiniais instrumentais bei žmonių balsais. Kažkiek dvelkiantis Boards Of Canada muzika, kažkiek turintis sentimentalios vasaros nakties harmonijos. Išskirti negaliu nei vieno kūrinio – albumas yra vientisas, juo Koen Park sako tai, ką perskaitei pirmose šio įrašo eilutėse. Kompiuteriai nėra mūsų draugai – žmonės yra, bet vis tiek atsisiųsk.
